I have a 2003 Tundra and I just love it.

If I were you I'd wait and check out the new 2007's. They look very, very interesting and are completely redesigned.

I had a similar issue with my Tunrda, not sure if it's exactly what you are experiencing but I had to hook up my 4 connection trailer plug coming off the truck to a 5 connection plug on a Ranger trailer. Here's how I got it working.

I have a 2006 extended cab Tundra and love it...I pull a ranger and have never had any trouble on any hill going up or down. As for your plug problem, i had the same one and just went to Autozone or Napa and bought the coversation plug.

in my opinion i dont like the new 2007 tundra it looks to much like a dodge, the titans look way to much like fords. why cant they just find there own style. might i say the new tacomas look awsome. and what happen to the back window on the tundra. my dad has a 2005 tundra double cab and the truck is awsome.i own a 2006 titan and this is a real mans truck. although it looks like a ford i love it to death. i dont know what ur talkin a bout with the plugs but for my 2006 titan i just went to wal-mart and bought an adapter. hope this helps

i have been towing my Ranger since 2000 when the Tundra's first came out. It's a great tow vehicle and handles any uphill climb.

The wiring is as simple as buyuing a 7 to 5 conversion plug at the auto parts store ($15 or less).

I agree, I've got a 2003 and have put over 65,000 miles on it....a large percentage of that has been towing my 20 ft. Ranger. It gets decent gas mileage while towing also, around 12-13 MPG.

The Tundra is a solid truck with plenty of power to tow any sized bassboat. I was looking at them and the Sierra but chose the Sierra because I got a huge deal on it. The Tundra engine/tranny are very smooth and I believe derived from Lexus. Not sure about your hitch plug question, but there are hitch adaptors out there you can buy at many marine stores, even Walmarts. For example, they have one that will convert your flat trailer plug to the more modern round plug.

The Tundra is awsome!

I have had my 2006 Tundra Double Cab for about 6 months now. Pulled my Skeeter all over the place. Really an awsome truck. Drives like a luxery car and pulls up the steepest hills with ease. I bought the 7-5 adapter and it works great.

The Toyota dealer in Roseville is a big supporter of bass fisherman and will really take care of you.--

If you looking contact Charles Dean at Roseville Toyota 916-784-7283

Tell him your a bass angler and Damon sent you and he will cut you a great deal.

Unless you get one with the tow package it should only come with A 4 wire set up which won't let you back up your trailer. If buying new get the tow package. If it does not have A tow package it's real easy to set up A 5 wire plug if you are comfortable with wiring.Just splice into the exsiting 4 wire plug and match the 5 wire plug accordingly and you should have one extra wire which should be Blue? Find your back up wire in your tail lite wiring harness with A test light and splice that wire to it and you should be ready to go. I have used clip in wiring harnesses that snap right into your trucks wiring harness a lot less hasle but cost a lot more and you might only be able to find at the dealership.

Good luck,Terry
