Scammers are already setting up websites identical to government agency's websites asking you for banking info so they can fast track your tax rebate as a direct deposit. Spread the word.

Come on Marc, she ain't in office yet :D .

I'll be doing the same. My property taxes kill me, and my savings account.

I should have a couple bucks left to sponsor a teen or 2 for this summers ProTeen tourney.

Ifn you are referring to the check we are being promised by the current administration I have a question? Do you suppose we are going to have to report the rebate as income and then pay additional taxes on the additional income? :?: :?

I have recieved a scam email i believe. They keep sending me this refund thing and all I have to do is give them my ss number. I am sure its a scam, for if it was true wouldnt the feds send me a letter, saying I am getting back 93.60 from last year, which I paid for the last two years and I am sure it will be three years now.

If I'm not mistaken I had to pay state taxes on the last rebate we got from the feds.

First off, I make too much to get the rebate... which means I'll have to dish out even more tax money to pay for those people who don't pay taxes in the first place :x

Same here, if I do get a tax refund (doubtful) I will just roll it into a CD to payoff my property taxes...taxes to pay for taxes....the american dream!

I'm getting a new Powell, Setyr H swimbait rod, and I just picked up a Calcutta TE 401. Having a kid helps during tax season!

speaking of refund,

Post by The Lone Angler »

Did I hear correctly that it is phased out for married couples making greater than $150K?

Does phased out mean you get none if you make greater than the limit, or is the refund reduced when you meet and exceed this magic number?

Thanks,

Phil

I have to do a few things to the boat. 1st, have some lower-end work done (new seals), 2nd have a hydro jackplate installed as it's been sitting in a box for a little over 1 year now. May also need some new shoes for the trailer as it appears the SUN has wreaked havoc on them. May get them at the local Discount tires as they carry Carsile which I've heard are good tires. Ya know what they say about BOAT (break out another thousand)!! Hopefully my return will be that much!!

ha, ha!! Just make sure you buy something made in China; which is where we are borrowing the "stimilus" money from. Most rods are made there so that won't be a problem.

My advice, invest your refund in a combo of bonds and oil stocks in order to grow a bank roll for this summer's gas prices 8)
Don't be lame. It's just fishing; you are not the new mesiah you know! Check your attitude at the door Mr. Spinners on da boat trailer.
