Ranger Boat Trailers

Post by ash »

Wow not a good weekend for Ranger owners.... We had a club event go out of B&W one of our members was two miles from B&W and his Ranger boat trailer Axle broke loose from his trailer frame! This boat is two years old!

On the way home from the tournament one of our other club members snapped a leaf spring on his Ranger trailer (this boat is less then three years old!)

WOW what is the deal with Ranger trailers???

I can't comment on the trailers, but Highway 12 looked and felt like an Iraqi runway when I was on it Sunday.

The bad news is that NO warranty would have prevented the death my good friends or a vehicle passing by in the fog. Instead of a good warranty policy how about stepping it up and creating an QUALITY PRODUCT policy where known issues such as this are the exception and not the rule.

I know, I know the last thing RMD wants is to see Ranger make a quality trailer....but really!

I hear ya, Hwy 12 is just a crazy road to drive.

We were driving it on Sunday morning, headed over to Stockton, and this car right in front of us just decides to go straight instead of following the road and drives right off the road and down the side of the levy.

It was foggy, but not that bad; and nobody was going fast. Yet off the road they went! have no idea why.

Fortunately, the car stayed upright and everyone appeared OK. They just needed a tow truck to now get them out of the muck and back onto the road. Oops!

I have heard that Ranger had multiple issues with some of their Rangertrail axles and leaf springs a few years back. I also heard some of the leaf springs were being brought in from China where the QC allowed substandard steel to be used. I'm lucky so far, I've got one of those made in the "USA" Rangertrail trailers

Has to be a freak accident. Ranger makes quality trailers. I've owned a Ranger for the last 16 years and have never, ever had a trailer issue. (KNOCKING ON WOOD).
