We use to fill tobacco pouches with sand or pebbles and surf cast with them.
We use to recycle old spark plugs as well.
This Eco stuff has been around for a long time. If it's practical and good for the environment, I'm all for it.
But I won't be using any stones for sinkers anytime soon.
I had to come back...I know...

It's about as silly as having to shoot copper instead of lead out of my 22 mag which is now law in parts of California.

We have to shoot "green" ammo now because the condors eat the dead vermin...

Don't give them any ideas...

Rick re-read AB 821 as lead ammo ban only effects center-fire pistol and rifle cartages. Had this discussion with my brother in regards to our annual dove hunt/ground squirrel shoot. Here is the bill:

Hey Sacto,

It does effect rimfire cartridges read on.

We shoot squirrels down south and it does effect us.

Got any open spots for your little get together :?:

I have tied rocks to my line before when I ran out of weight and wanted to keep fishing when I was real young and broke. :D

from the page:
The Stonzeâ„¢ System is the result of many years of research and development as we looked for a natural alternative for the humble lead weight.
Ummm.... they look like rocks to me...

I wonder if it's the same guy that invented the 'pet rock'?

Thanks Rick, you would think reading the letter of the law would be enough. So I guess we will not shoot any ground squirrels this year. My brother was looking into non-lead rounds for his .17HMR so I guess it is still a possibility.

They are STONED if they think this will catch on. That selection looks like something out of my wife's jewelry catalogs. No thanks.
I would rather jog home from my own Vasectomy than spend Saturday at the mall.

Good luck trying to find ammo for your 17!

CCI is the only company that is providing "green" ammo at this time and it's only for the 22Mag. Other companies say they are making some but it's just "vapor" right now and not available.

Make sure you look at the map, northern Cali is mostly good for lead, it's just the south and parts of Arizona and Nevada.

If you find copper ammo send me a PM please, I need to stock up.

What a bunch of smoke and mirrors!!! Environmentalists at their finest. Lets see, they ban lead for shooting big game and promise to offset the cost by providing a coupon program for “free or reduced price ammoâ€

Damn... I hate to say this but I think my former roommate was one of the key attorneys that headed the bill. :( He moved out, I swear!
