Castaic Club Challenge Sept 14th update

Post by mark poulson »

The tournament will launch out of the West Ramp, which will be closed to the general public.
The gates will be open from 5:00 to 6:00.
We will launch at 6:30, or as soon as the lifeguards let us
We'll have a meeting before we launch, and will register everyone.
Please have your CF numbers, and annual lake pass numbers written down to make registration easier.
If you don't have annual lake passes, you will have to pay the regular lake launch fees, which are $24, including boat and truck.
We will be collecting the fees at the prelaunch meeting.
It looks like there will be well over 30 boats/teams participating from seven clubs so far.
It will be a six hour/summer DFG rules tournament.
There will be a BBQ and raffle after the weighin, and the winning club will have their name engraved on the perpetual trophy which is on display all year at Sun Country Marina.
There's still time to participate.
Call me at (310) 908-9047 if you and your club want to join in the fun.

Derek,
If you're a member of a legitimate bass club, and not a guest or ringer or someone just looking to fish a tournament, you can fish if you're representing your club.
This is a club competition, meant to get people from different clubs in the area together to put faces to names, to swap stories, and to have a fun competition.
We have one club, Bassin Buddies, that's only sending one angler, John "Nunyo" Younce.
He'll be fishing at a numeric disadvantage, since we are weighing the top three bags from each club, no matter how many boats are fishing for each club, but no one ever said John could count.
So, if you're a club member and are representing your club, with their knowledge and endorsement, you're welcome to fish.
It's open to any club that can make it.

Hey Mark,
Separate bags for each 5lber and above...yeah? I'll weigh 3 of those . I think Steve "Dakine" and a few of the Bassin Buddies are thinking of making the trip....no matter though...I'll represent.
