BASS OPENS returning?

Postby ripb8ts » Tue Jul 21, 2009 7:44 pm

Does anyone know if they are returning? Looks like a 4 day permit pending in March.

I was hoping to see them come back this year, elite series is cool and all but a qualifying circuit for western anglers would be better.I still suscribe to bassmaster magazine and would fish if they came out again.

Sorry guys but looks like a no go for a BASS 2010 Western Division Open Series. DanO and I were waiting to see if they would be the likely circuit to replace WONBass in the rankings system for the WAR Report. Even heard a rumor that they would hire Chris Jones to run it but could never confirm.

I think the guy to call at BASS if you ever want to see them out here again would probably be Chris Bowes. His cell is 407 566-2492

Hope to see you all out there fishing FLW stuff again next year though!

Denny Brauer told me that the Elite Series would be out here on March 11-14 2010 and Clear Lake the following week! I think they will launch out of Stockton and Lake Port...

I got word from a pretty good source that they would be here in 2010 and that they would be fishing the CA Delta. I would love to see them come back, it's great for the sport and fans. I am a HUGE Charley Almassey fan! LMAO!!!!! go get em Charley!!!!!

No go on the Opens. If you want to see them. Write a letter. It's the best way.
