Thanks guys!!!!
Thanks for all the positive calls, e-mails, and pm's on the Open. It's nice to know I have so many friends pulling for me. I did want to win this one badly, but so did all the other entrants. A couple of good decisions and stops made it possible. Again, thanks for the support. This one was very special for me.
Re: Thanks guys!!!!

Re: Thanks guys!!!!
Gary,
You and I met when I covered the 04 Open for BassFan. Back then gk was calling me with the results and I was pumped that I'd get to interview you. You were my second interview that first day (my first was some dude named Stan Venderdenenberg - lol) and as soon as we started talking, I knew what it meant for you to be in contention and win that event. Since then we have talked many times (and written a few articles) about how this is the one tournament you wanted to win more than any. Well brother, you did it.
Hard work always pays off and you should be proud of not just this win but the last 5 years. You've always been in the top 3 and could have won any of them. This year it all paid off and it all came together.
Happy Anniversary to you and your wife and have a relaxing weekend.
Terry

Well it's gotta go. I have a new Ranger coming in. This kind of thing is a little bad for Nitro, Won Bass's sponsor. I will say, I climbed all over the Z-8 they had on display. It looks like they've up-graded Nitro's a ton. This is a VERY NICE boat.

Re: Thanks guys!!!!
Gary, let me offer my congratulations as well. I thought the interview you did with Russ Bassdozer on Gary Yamamoto's Ezine Magazine while driving home was one of the best I have ever read. He even included pictures of the rigs you used during the event.
I have had some experience with what you have had to go through to make your rod company work. Your persistence is paying off and we hope you and your family continue to be blessed.

Last year I got a couple of days. This year I did go for 3 days 2 weeks out, 4 days the week before and 3 days right before the event. I did put my time in. Many guys fished much more than this.

Gary,
Thank you for sharing your winning formula on how you went about taking those "skins" in the WON US Open. It was especially meaningful since I was there also fishing pretty much the same water (unfortunately not with nearly the same success)!
Also appreciate your input in the WON steering committee meeting. We look forward to WON making a comeback on the tournament scene and with constructive criticism such as yours a WON comeback may become a reality.

Thanks guys!!!!
Question for you Gary,
You mentioned one of the lures you used was a DB-4 or BD-4 or something like that. What exactly was the lure you were talking about and what is it?

I believe he was referring to a Luckt Craft BDS-4 in Tennesee shad.JJCJR wrote:Question for you Gary,
