So was he lost or driving someone else's boat? At certain points it looks like the pilot is aiming directly for the trees.

It woulda been hilarious if a rattler fell out of one of the trees onto the boat.

I'd rather have heard the motor instead of the "music". I'd be curious about what it sounded like banging into the submerged trees, and I'm curious about how he worked the throttle. Musta been a couple of bucks on the line. Definitely a situation where you put on the backup prop. Me? He!! no. I like my baby too much.

Sadly I know where he was and he wasted his time getting in there.

That video is him trying to get back to the main river. You could have won that tournament if you went to the normal backwaters that everyone always picks fish off. There are like 25 lake sized oxbows off the main river.

He was in a backwater trying to get to the main river. The "info" is BS. Im guessing he missed the same turn I did once. I backtracked and zoomed in on my GPS.

Red River Shreveport launch is 5 min from my house.

Funny thing is that there is actually a cut where you can get to the main river. The water was 14 higher than normal pool so there was a lot of flooded land. You could get to where he wanted to go if you had a 1/2 of a clue.

I kept expecting to see two things....a moccasin to drop out of the tree or a branch to flip a rod off the foredeck. Must have been a jetdrive or there would have been more shakin' goin' on. Hard core!

No jet drive there, it was an outboard. That was a common scene living in South Florida for the past 4 years. We did the same things but at about 20mph. We had floating mud slabs that you had to hit hard enough to break through or go over. You would also be surprised to see how little damage you do get from stuff like that. Over 90% over the tree rubs and scuffs wax right off with no marks. Our biggest issue with damage was hitting a gator while manuvering through the Everglade's. Their backs are like floating concrete pilars, took chunks out your lower unit if not the whole thing.

And if you were the lucky one with a Yamaha, you were stopping every 5 minutes to let your motor cool off while using a tooth brush taped to a stick to clean the intake hole's....

Remember last year when there was all the rain at Texoma? The normal pool for that area is about 14 feet it was at 28. IT wasnt THAT hardcore. It was heading to an old river area that is sometimes good fishing/

what Paul Nichols does.

Not my fault Mike didnt stay in the boat lane and got off course.

Or how about Edwin Evers going on plane in a stumpfield with his Lowrance zoomed all the way in. I know I know. a buddy's friend was his marshall and he almost SH#$ himself. Im guessing Edwin's prop was all of 2cm from stumps the size of a redwood. All of this was on the Red River. If you want to know where, it was the Duckblind that MOST normal people go to the Caspiana Cut then run down to the area the rocks are down, then make the run to caspy. The Duckblind is in the stumpfield to the right as you head toward Caspy.

Edwin ran through the cut that really ISNT a cut then to the duckblind as the crow flies, ITS A STUMP FIELD.

THAT is hardcore not motoring through a sappling field because you didnt stay in the lane.
