Finally Upgraded...

Post by Time2Bass »

So after fishing so many years with my Berkeley Lightning rods I upgraded this past weekend at the expo with a Lamiglas Excel 7116 swimbait, frog, flippin & pitchin rod. I couldn't find any info on this rods here but went ahead and decided to buy one. Any thoughts? I'm just planning to throw the punkers with this one.

I haven't used the Excel Series but I know Lamiglas makes good stuff. I have an 806 Flipping Stick as well as a Frog rod and they are AWESOME!!!!!! Should be a nice upgrade from the Lightning Rods. Enjoy them......

I don't know about the Excel Series but I have some of the Certified Pro's 702x spinning and the 705 / 725 / 767 casting rods and realy like them !! But I had a chance to look @ the new Dobyns rods and they are nicer but they cost more also so for the $ I think Lamiglas make a real nice stick

The Excels are nice sticks. I checked them out at the show with their rep Roy Gray.

Love the Big Bait Special (I have four), so I doubt that you could go wrong with the one you got.

Enjoy!
