How many rod/reel combo's do you own?

Post by Lugnut »

Just wondering how many Bass Specific rod/reel combo's everyone has. I have what I think is way to many..........Theres no way I could bring them all, but with all the different techniques combo's add up fast. Our club fishes the Motherlode Lakes, Delta, and Clear Lake and the same rod/reel combo's are not applicable.
Don't ask about my username, all I need to say is check yours and check them often.

Not enough, but too many to carry at one time in the boat.

I personally own 12. I would like to have more crankin rods though. And eventually will get some, but the 2 I have now will suffice LOL Also I need more finesse set ups. I have 1 spinning set up and casting rig for finesse. S deffinately need more of those LOL

I have around 30+, but have been very happy with using the 18 Powell rods that I have. I use several kinds of reels for different applications just like the rods. Yes I will be expanding on my collection of Powell Rods.
Fishing should be fun.

I have 38 bass rods. 15 are bait casters and the rest are spinning rods. My rod locker holds 15 rods still allowing reasonably quick access.

I usually have 4 or 5 rigged with what I think is going to be my best choice for catching fish. I do that so that if I break off or loose a bait I dont need to waste time retieing or rebaiting that rod. I have my bait back in the water in a matter of a few seconds.

If you are a TV fisherman I guess you have to take time to whoop and holler and do a break dance on the front deck but I often think those guys would be better served by getting their bait back in the water as soon as possible. It could be the difference between getting a check and not. The same applies to having duplocate rods pre-rigged

powell spinning

a few dobyns, dozen lami, and a bunch of loomis.
I use mostly Powell except for a few things that are better served by other rods. Reels are shimano chronarch, currado, Calais and a revo. Diawa Tierra casting.

So yes I have a sickness. Shall we talk AR-15's? I'm nuts for those to.
