Giant Nile Perch - Now that's what I'm talking about!

Post by mmalinao »

Was watching River Monsters last night and they were going after Nile Perch, freakin insane! 100lbs+ and looks just like a g-I-normous black bass!

Tell me you don't want to catch one of these!

Did they really catch them on frogs? I saw an episode where they trolled giant plugs for them, but no topwater.

They do look like giant bass, only they have small heads in comparison.

Yup frog fish, I saw that episode too. I think he said he buys those at Toys R Us and then sprays a water proof coating on them. Very innovative I think he was going to start the Spider Monkey Lure Co.

Haha....I don't know what they caught them on, but I was just laughing thinking about the appropriate size frog you would need... The spring to screw into the bait from the hook, would have to be a slinky..lol
