Was at Pedro on fri and caught a lot of small fish, that is typical this time of year. However there was a lot more spotted bass than I have ever seen at this lake, I wander if that has anything to do with the declining weights coming in?
PS. The bass grew after dark, lots of 2-3's on a c-rig lizard in 10-15'
Don Pedro
Re: Don Pedro
The declining weights are probably more from the incredible amount of bait in the lake right now. Why eat a plastic worm when there are MILLIONS of shad swimming around? Hopefully it will change aftrer the lake turns over and the nomadic trout eaters come back to the top.
Re: Don Pedro
Sundays tournament weighed in only 44 bass....28 of them were spots and 9 largemouth and 7 were smallmouth
Largemouth population is still very large but the bite is tough with so much to eat this time of year. Being spots are so much more aggressive they will the dominate catch during the day this time of year. Smallmouth has really picked up this year and most run from 2 to 4 lbs. Nice.
