Need help pricing a Ranger

Post by tim »

A friend of mine is thinking about selling a 1999 Ranger 462 VS with a 175 Merc EFI.... It is tournamnet ready with two Lowarnce graphs, hot foot, motorguide 80lb, custom cover..... It is as clean of a boat as you will see, looks like it has just come off the show room...low hours.

We booked it on NADA but that is irrelevant, just looking for a realistic price it would sell for.

Thanks for the help

You can also see if any are selling on ebay. If so, average out the price and price your buddys accordingly. :D

Hi Tim,

I had the same boat (low hours, etc.) except the 175 Merc was not a EFI, I ending up using C&C Marine to sell it.

Last year (May 2010) Pricing was between $9500 and $11,000. The economy has improved some since May of last year. Good luck.

Thanks for all the feedback! The good news is that it sold the first day for $13,900.... Maybe that is a small sign things are improving in the economy!
