Wheel Bearings

Post by Morgan »

Do all of you do your own maintenance on your trailer wheel bearings, clean, lube, replace seals, etc or do you have someone do them? I have done them a long time ago, but I don't have the cleaners to get out the old grease anymore nor the time. For those of you that get it done, where do you go (to ensure they use marine grease) and how much does it run?
Thanks, Morgan

I just had my done at Les Schwab last month and it cost $82.46. That price did not include new bearings since mine were still good. It also did not include duels since I only have a single axel. The cost included cleaning, lubing with marine grease, replacing both seals, balancing both tires and putting 50 lbs of air in the tires which I did not know the tire took that much.

Les Schwab opens at 8 am and I made an appointment and was on the water by 10 am. It saved me so much time and it was very convenient.
