Kelly:
The first event will be March at Pyramid. Right now because of the overcrowding at Castaic. Right now it looks like we will add one on the end.

June 13, 2010 Castaic Lake West Ramp
August 28 & 29, 2010 TOC - DVL

The first event to be rescheduled was set for Feb 28th at Castaic and that is not shown above. I beleive the four event schedule above is correct!

Ray/JB: Please verify the above information and if I am not correct please correct me. Juggling these tournament schedules with my rotating work schedule can be very challenging to say the least. On top of that I am a full time baseball umpire and the leagues are putting teir schedules out as we speak and im trying my best to make evrything work out. First part of April is tough time for family guys because of spring break for the school districts.

Please don't get confused the schedule is exactly the same. Drop the castaic and go to Piru. Should be a big weight. I think big fish for this event will be over 10 pounds.

We better hope for some BIG rains by then or we will be fishing shoulder to shoulder. I was there a few weeks ago and played leap frog with just 3 boats. That place is super small right now. No North end at all. They are bringing in water from Pyramid I heard but not enough fast enough.

Remember that Piru gets it's water from Pryamid. When I went by Pryamid the other day there was no "old" water line. The lake was at full pool. Don't worry about levels just yet.

Well then I got some bad information from both Piru and Pyramid. I was told by Pyramid that water goes to Castaic and Piru. Piru said they get water when they get to a point that threatens the water levels for irrigation down stream.

I hate it when people tell me things when they don't know what they are taking about. :?

Piru does get water from Pyramid. There is a water meter type thing on upper Piru creek and whatever flows in Pyramid flows out.

I forgot this as well there is also an endangered frog up river from Piru that must be protected, by court order, Pyramid must keep a certain amount of water flowing. I do not know how much but it must keep this frog wet.

With as much beer that is drank with this group we could probably bring the lake up a couple of feet if you guys would pee in the lake every time you went.

Sorry, I get my water from a can...after the Top Stick Joe's events at Piru that gets its water from Castaic and Pyramid. I do this to preserve the frogs up there...

Top Stick Joes?

Post by Big Ed »

JB and RayEl;

Have you guys considered when the July 2010 event will be held if even at all? At this time it seems it might be more reasonable to simply make the TSJ a four event schedule in light of the scheduling conflicts.

Last season when the schedule was changed it caused several of the regular qualifying anglers to not be able to make the TOC. We anglers understand that things come up and that sometimes things are out of your control so you just have to do what you can.

Im attempting to book my annual Albacore trip and a family camping vacation in July 2010 not to mention I work the weekend of July 10th so if you guys could post something soon about the TSJ extra event in July that would help things alot.

My wife keeps asking me when im going to make our reservations!

Thanks; Big Ed!
