It is with a heavy heart we inform all good friends of Rod & Reel Radio and Sportsfishing in general, host of the show "Big Tuna" Bill Ghiselin lost his battle with cancer early this morning 8/17/11.
All the fishing community, friends and listeners just want to let Trudy, Ben and Nate know our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
The family would also like to thank all of you for your prayers and well wishes during Bill's illness. They made a difference and Bill was aware of all your efforts on his behalf till the end.
Memorial plans are pending.

Sorry to hear,Bill is in a better place now talking fishing with the big man.My prayers are with the family.

Not ever personally meeting Bill, I had the honor to be a guest on his show a few times. I must say he was extremely gracious and a pleasure to work with. We will all miss Bill. My prayers are with his family.

Bill was one of the first newspaper editors that I worked for. I will forever appreciate the encouragement and opportunity he gave the "kid" trying to make it in the photo biz. Rest in peace big Bill.

R.I.P Big Tuna.... Always enjoyed our WFO bite down in the East Cape and the times on the radio show. He will be greatly missed. Continued prayers to Trudy and the family.
