What happened to Reese this year?

This subject may have been addressed somewhere on this site so excuse me for asking a question that may have already been answered: What happened to S. Reese this past year, why was he not in the Classic? This was the place he won the Classic wasn't it?

Anglers must qualify to fish the Classic. Qualification depends on the prior year's fishing season. So....to fish the 2012 Classic an angler would have to earn their way in through the 2011 fishing season by winning an Elite event, their points in the AOY standings, or another way that qualified them.

There were 49 qualifiers this year.

I know how they qualify, it is hard to believe that he had that bad of a year considering how he has been qualifying these past few years.

He is on stage at the Classic right now even though he isn't fishing it.

Skeet, as usual, was a class act on stage to. At one point he was asked a question and he stated that it was not about him it was about the anglers fishing the classic.

Skeet's probably asking himself that same question. Just the peeks and vallies of life, we all experience it, he's human too. We could speculate with 101 reasons, he'll come up with twice that. S*** happens and it happens fer a reason. He's a fierce competitor, he'll not dwell on it, put it behind him and turn it around in the new season. I have no doubt about that.
