Battery Tie Down Question

Post by Mike H »

I was running 4 of the 30 Series AC Delco in my Champion and the time has come to replace them. I went with the 29 Series Ever Start MAXX. I have the PFP battery trays but the covers were made specifically for the AC Delco's, they have the little hole to view the "Green Eye" and they will not fit on top, the holes are not big enough, of the Ever Start MAXX also the new batteries are a little taller so the rods that go up the side are not long enough.

The new batteries fit fine in the bottom of the trays so I plan on keeping them and now the question. What are you using to secure the battery so they wont tip over, etc?

Thanks!

My 196 has nylon straps going around the battery and trays to secure them.
