Man, I did that with my aluminum boat a couple of weeks ago, took my eye off off the water 'for a second'. Luckily it was into a sand bank and I was able to push it back into the water. You still get thrown around when you hit, so I imagine they will both be sore too.

He hit a log and shot off to the side of it, alot can happen very fast when running wot.

I wonder if he called Boat Assist? I'm not sure on the water crane service is covered.
