Lucky Craft presents - "On the Water" Pre-fish Support

SACRAMENTO, Ca. - Folsom Lake is without a doubt one of the most fertile lakes in northern California. And many anglers, who live in the greater Sacramento area as well as those from surrounding areas, know full well that the rocky coves and deep water points that merge into its solid granite river beds are simply loaded with quality largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass.

And when the Future Pro Tour makes its 2nd stop of the 2013 season Saturday, April 20th at Folsom Lake in an event dubbed "The Capitol City Showdown", none should be surprised at the quality limits and big fish that will grace the scales come weigh-in time.

As this second big event of the 2013 season draws near, those familiar, and those not too familiar with this popular Sacramento metro area lake, will need to prepare themselves to face the challenges of warm, rising water and deal with fish that will be in various stages of the spawn.

To this end, the Future Pro Tour – presented by Coors Light will endeavor to bring many of its anglers directly into the “information loop” and provide for anyone that desires, the opportunity to learn a little bit about the lake as we will host our 8th annual “On the Water” pre-fish seminar series - presented by Lucky Craft, the day before the event on Friday, April 19th at Folsom Lake.

A seminar unlike all others

This “On the Water” pre-fishing seminar - presented by Lucky Craft, is unique in that it will feature some of the west’s best pro anglers – who fish Folsom Lake on a regular basis, while they are actually on the water, posted at different areas of the lake, where ANYONE that desires can pull up next to them and receive ONE-ON-ONE, on-the-water advice on how to fish that particular area of the lake.

A few years ago at our “On the Water” seminar, pro angler Andy Sayles, assigned to the Beal’s Point area of the lake, was talking to a large group of anglers about how to fish Yamamoto Senko’s around submerged trees. In mid sentence, as he tossed his bait into a cluster of submerged willows trees, felt that all too familiar “tap”, set the hook on - and landed a largemouth that went 10 over pounds!

The “On the Water” prefish seminar – presented by Lucky Craft, will take place on Friday, April 19th, from 10am to 1:30pm, and ANYONE can participate- even if you do not fish FPT events. Go to the FPT website and you will find a map/legend that will list the areas of the lake where each pro will be assigned to on that Friday.

This year..as they did in the previous year's "On the Water" seminar, each boat will have a colorful flag attached to their running light poles so there should not be any problem identifying our pro-staffers.
