Coyote

Post by ElGuapo »

Last minute change in plans and I'm now fishing Coyote tomorrow morning. Ramp doesn't open until 8 so I'll likely miss topwater action. Never fished there before. Any suggestions/tips on forage, cover, structure or spots would be appreciated. TIA.

I've not fished coyote in the last 2 years. The south end has allot of trees where the river feeds the lake. This is not a large body of water though, with the lack of rain not sure what the water levels are like, they take the water level way down after winter because of damn issues so it may be pretty low and you might not be able to get to the trees on the south end. So drop shot may be your best bet along the eastern side.

I would love to fish that lake again, but with the quagga restrictions doubt if I will ever be able to put a boat ( or kickboat) on there again, unless they change. Let us know how it was....getting on the lake... And the fishing.
