motorguide tour installation?

Post by bassz21 »

I am going from a 24volt foretrex to 36volt tour don't ask why I have my reasons, but my questions are do the mounting holes line up, does new heavier gauge wire have to be used, and who would be a good person to install it and any ideas how much for just the install I would be furnishing the motor, new charger, and batteries thanks.

also would $600 be a fair price to sell the foretrex its clean and it has the danny miller red one

some of the holes will line up, not all...... what gauge wire is currently in the boat?? heavier the better
Never argue with an idiot; He'll beat you to death with stupidity.
I AM NOT SAYING THERE SHOULD BE CAPITAL PUNISHMENT FOR STUPIDITY,
BUT, WHY DON'T WE JUST TAKE THE SAFETY LABELS OFF OF EVERYTHING
AND LET THE PROBLEM SOLVE ITSELF?"

The Fortrex has two sets of mounting holes. It has an inside set and then it has additional holes behind the left hand cover. If the person who mounted the holes behind the cover the Motorguide mount holes should line up.
