I have a friend who's taking his son up to Lake Mojave to fish for bass and stripers.
He is not a fisherman, but his son loves to fish.
He asked me for advice. I'm clueless. I've never been there.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Lake Mojave
A bit tough this time of year. Possibly spinnerbaits, chatter baits, maybe smaller swim baits and the standby dropshot.

Thanks Ray. I'll pass it along.

Re: Lake Mojave
It can be a tough lake in in general but the weather is still nice and there should still be a fall bite. Dropshot, jigs, senkos and pretty much whatever you would fish in any other clear water lake. For stripers use anchovies by the dam or off some of the further out rock islands. Or float the river and throw rooster tails, anchovies or whatever you like for stripers. They aren't far from Havasu either which could be producing right now as well.

The only guide I know in the area is Bass Times. It's operated by Vern Price. I don't know any phone numbers or if he works Mohave, but give him a try. He's located in Las Vegas.

Thanks Ray. I'll pass his name along.
Scotty, I know he has fished Havasu in the past, so I'll mention that to him, too. Thanks for the ideas,

Re: Lake Mojave
my family use to camp on the shores of Mohave all the time, I would fish for catfish in the coves and saw some nice strippers get pulled up. I dont have any fishing tips, but its a wonderful lake to enjoy in the boat especially in the canyons below hoover damn.

Re: Lake Mojave
I told my buddy what everyone here said, and he's planning to hire a guide for both Mojave and Havasu.
Thanks everyone for your help.
