Jerk Bait Question

My fishing partner gave me a Mega Bass Vision 110 magnum, yay! The bait did not have a split ring on the line tie, he said it came that way and the standard Vision one tens came with split rings on the line tie, should the mag be fished with a split ring I would think yes ,it did perform without s ring.

I would put one on it. I put split rings on lots of things that didn't come with them IF it does not affect the action. I like having a wrist at the line tie which gives the knot some extra strength.
