lodging at clear lake

Post by lobinero »

does any one have suggestions where to stay in Clear lake. I call Konocti and the lady was in such a hurry that make me feel unimportant. I'm looking for a comfortable, clean, safe motel were we can charge our batteries overnight. Please advice....

I recommend Konocti if you want your gas syphoned in the middle of the night.

I stayed at the Casino hotel and it was fine... moored my boat all 5 nights and never had an issue. simple and easy!

I stayed at Clear Lake last fall for the first time . I stayed in the South end .
I had two issues , boat ramp size and width and water levels .
Before you make a deposit , check to see if the boat ramp is easy to use .
The ramp I had to use , was very narrow and extremely hard to back down and launch. Then came water level , I have an 18ft bass boat and I could barely trim my motor up enough to get out away from the ramp and safe water .
Next time I go to Clear Lake , I think I might try Konocti just because I heard the ramp might be better .
tight lines ,

Clear Lake Cottages is by far one of the nicest, safest resorts on the lake....well worth it. Dan

Give Bob Higgins a shout up at Limit Out Tackle, they have 3 cottages they rent called Anglers Roost, like $50 a nite for a two angler sleeper or $100 fer the 4 person sleeper. Safe, comfey and one of the nicest guys to wake up to and visit in the shop with a fresh cup of coffee! Very close to Ramp, gas, convienent store, local Market, bar and don't over look the Pizza place up the street!

Skylark is a great place but suggest taking boat out of water at night . Not protected from a south wind.
Clearlake vista and edgewater in soda bay are nice. The safest place to leave a boat in the water is Konocti vista casino. They have cameras and guards out at night on the water and in the parking area. I have never heard of any gas stolen at the casino. I have heard of gas thefts at county park and 5th st.
