Trolling Motor Locking Systems

Post by TeamBeefmaster »

Anyone have any suggestions on Trolling Motor Locking systems? I was thinking to use either a RAM mount system, or try of the the Troll-Tamer Trolling Motor Locking Systems. Id appreciate any feedback you can provide.

I have a 36VDC Minn Kota Maxxum that is a few years old. thanks

I have just a regular bounce buster on my maxxum pro. Not sure if you already have that and its not working for you. I also have the velcro strap that came with it that goes around the motor when its stowed. It has worked great for me. Here is the link if you don't know what i'm talking about.

Good luck!

thats exactly what I have, the velcro has aged and doesnt work. I also added a jumbo pool-noodle to the post to act as a shock absorber. Im looking for something a bit more secure.

I use a luggage strap/buckle, to help where the velcro doesnt work so well. thanks for the suggestion.

Gotchya! Sorry no experience with the other aftermarket parts.

I can say with my motor it sits better on the base when the trolling motor is not extended to maximum length/depth.

Good luck!
