I am using a motor guide xi5 with a Lowrance HDS7 and would like some guidance on which transducer to choose for optimal performance. Currently have set to generic 200/83!
Also, would you recommend a different transducer for better unit performance?
Thanks,
DC

Re: HDS 7 and Motrguide xi5
I'm not familiar with the Motorguide xi5. Are you using a Generic transducer built into the Motor Guide? If so you have the correct setting.
For optimal performance, I recommend a PDT/WBL Lowrance transducer. Then find that model number in the transducer list and select it. This ducer was made for your head unit and will give you optimal readings. The Generic built in ducers are general in nature to work with all brands of units. The brand specific transducers are made to match up with the head units of the same brand.
