Looking for best installer for new Lowrance HDS

Post by p413 »

Just purchased a new Lowrance HDS 9T and need a recommendation for someone to install it for me.
I want to find someone close to the Sacramento area and who has lots of experience with the down-scan/ side-scan transducer installs on a Ranger. Would hate to have spent good money on new finder and not get the best images possible because of a poor installation. Let me know if you can recommend someone.

Installs are not just about what you see on the outside, but how clean the wires are tied up under the dash, how the crimps are connected and do they use heat sealed connections. These are marks of a good installer.

Yes I am sponsored by CC but when I wasn't, I still only wanted Jeremy to work on my boats. He's basically OCD when it comes to the details and finish work.

If and when you have issues, they will stand behind their work.

Good luck wherever you choose to spend your hard earned money.

Installation of those units are very, very simple, it doesn't take a genius to do it, why don't you just look up the installation on YouTube and do it yourself? I did it myself and it was that easy. .. . Don't spend more money than you already have on that unit unless you have that kind of money to throw away, there is always a professional out there to take it. Just my two cents, it's ultimately up to you.

X4 for C&C in Citrus Heights. If their work is good for multipal FLW and Bassmasters, it's good enough for me.

While I agree with WC on this subject, you have to have some mechanical skills to do this. Just installed the HDS 7 on my boat and it took a good 1/2 a day to do it and it's a two person job. It would be a simple job if the transducer's of the older Lowrance units worked on the new units, but they do not. pulling those cables is a challenge. Once you have that done and the transducers installed, power them up is not a problem.

Good luck.

I've seen some of the DIY installs some fisherman are doing, for me since i'm buying an expensive piece of equipment, I would rather pay for a clean and proper installation everytime.
