HDS 8 Temp Reading
Temperature reading is stuck on 176 degrees in the water or out. Have tried deleting and reinstalling temp reading. Also tried soft reset of the unit but still no luck. Any other ideas? I'm using PD-WBL transducer.

I know it's not 176 degrees outside...ha ha. Since you listed your transducer as a PD-WBL I can tell you that the problem is with your transducer. The PD-WBL does not have a temperature sensor in it to give you a temp reading. You will need to install a PDT-WBL. The "T" in the model number indicates that the ducer has a temperature sensor in it and can give your head unit a reading to display. (As long as you have the digital temperature set on your overlay data on your screen)

Re: HDS 8 Temp Reading
Ok I must have another issue then. I do have four units on my boat. two at the console and two up front. The temp reading has been working find until now. Could it have been getting the reading from the side imaging transducer and the settings go changed by me on accident?

More of your set up makes a big difference. There is a settings issue and with 4 units on the boat and more than likely networked with Ethernet cables, a technician would probably need to get on board and try alot of things.
I have found that even two units networked with an Ethernet cable will "share" settings with each other, change shared settings on their own and be very difficult to get straightened out. I would recommend taking the boat to a trusted dealer or if you happen to be at an FLW or Bassmaster tournament where the Lowrance trailer is, get help. Those guys are real good and can get it diagnosed and/or fixed on site.
