$150 - Day Lauch Fee - Would you pay it?
$150 - Day Lauch Fee - Would you pay it?
Yes, it's true. Vail Lake in Southern Calif. is charging that daily fee for fishing boats and $250 for "pleasure boats". This is a very small lake that can have some awesome 30+ fish days, but as of late the lake been not fishing as strong as it has in the past. The lake was managed by a private organization in the past and has since been taken over by the county water district and now managed by the same concession as Diamond Valley Lake. So, to my question... would you pay the fee?

I use to fish Vail religiously up until Yarslove (Manager) started acting like an @$$. I have 2 friends that had membership there and he use to give me **** about making friends on the lake and trying to hop on there boat and fish for free. It sucks the owner lost that lake and but hopefully its better managed. I WOULD NEVER PAY $150 a day to fish there.

I would pay $150 to fish a great lake, Vail just isn't one!

Is there still a yearly membership fee?

$40 is about right for Vail.

I'd pay that for a day on Crystal Springs Reservoir on the SF Peninsula.
