Oroville Advice?

Post by crayfish »

I am heading up this weekend and wondering if anyone has any advice.
Where to launch?
Where to go?
What to use?

Have not been there in a while.

Thanks in advance,
Ray

I'd start with some top water in the early morning. (vixens and poppers) Then go to dragging some Football heads with hula Grubs( Cin/Blk} and Tubes rigs. Make sure their bouncing off the rocks on the bottom. Drop shot, Trick worms, your favorite plastics in 25 to 40 feet. Go slow..

That should catch a good number of fish....

Thought I would give a report back from my trip.
I did not catch a lot of fish, but I did manage about 10 lbs.
Nothing on topwater.
Fish most caught on robo worms in the 25-40 foot range. Once nice largemouth about 3 lbs was right on the bank, 2 a little over 2, and 2 about 1 1/2 and some smaller ones.

There you go.
