Irvine Lake Heads up!!!!! No public boats allowed!

You read header right! Yup.... No public boats allowed to launch into Irvine Lake. Was there yesterday and turned out. Story is 3 people died there in a boat and family or families sued. So now we all loose the privledge. Ok Im sorry to the family but if people don't use a lil common sense or don't accept their own responsibility for their own actions then I hope ya all enjoy not being able to do S- - - - anymore! Sure miss the good ole days when people could do almost any family sport or outings they wanted to without all these BS restrictions about this and that!

Heard on the new this morning that yesterday at Irvine Lake a man and his friend went over the side. His friend grabbed the anchor rope, but the other man did not resurface. Neither was wearing their life vests, and neither men were very good swimmers. They are still searching for the man today.

The No Public Boats enforcement has been going on for over a month. It was in response to Irvine Lakes' insurance carrier not allowing it... or at least that is what has been publicized. That edict stemmed from a previous death from August 2013. The weird part of it is that it happened almost two days apart, 2 years ago.

Reading the reports, there seems to be a common theme: no one wears a life jacket, poor swimming skills, overloaded boats. I did not read if there was alcohol involved in either report.
