Transducers

Post by rxfish »

Ken, I mounted a HDS-5 on the bow and used the transducer from my 520c and although I haven't been on the water with it everything seems to work. I want to mount the transducer for the structure scan on the trolling motor as well till I can get a better unit for the console at which time I will move it to the back. I think you mentioned doing this. I'm thinking you mount the transducer at the very bottom. Any issues with both transducers being that close?

There is no problem mounting the 200 khz transducer you had on the LMS520c right behind the LSS-1 transducer. The different frequency's of each ducer don't interfere with each other at all.

Be sure to get the SS-TMB which is the trolling motor mount for the Structure Scan transducer. Here is the link:

You're gonna love what you can see to fish off to the side. Put the range on about 80 on the left/right scan to start with and have fun!
