The USAC Nevada Trail welcomed 21 boats to Callville Bay Marina, Lake Mead on April 21st, 2012.
Calm winds and high temperatures made it a great day for spring time fishing as anglers caught them on beds as well as cruising the shallows. Dean Yamagata stated "Ryan caught most of our fish today, he was dropshotting in 20 feet of water." The father/son team once again claimed the first place spot bringing 18.40 to the scales. For their efforts the duo took home $1,600 in cash.
Second place went to the new USAC Pro-Team of Tim Klinger and Jim Sullivan, the team managed to haul in 17.29 lbs and had the day's 2nd big fish at 4.74 lbs. At the end of the day the team earned $890.
Third place went to the red hot team of Derek Yamamoto and John Mackey, they managed to bring 17.10 lbs to weigh-in and took home $460.
In fourth place was the Pro-Team of Larry Gilchrist and Ray Arbesu, the two managed 16.99 lbs, during the awards ceremony, Ray said "We caught our fish with jigs and senkos." The two earned $200 for fourth.
Last in the money in fifth place was the Pro-Team of Matt Warner, the team weighed in 15.00 lbs and had big fish of the tournament with a monster 4.87 lb. largemouth. Fifth place and Big Fish earned the team $480.
