SJ Striper report 3/20/18

We got into em pretty good last night. Launched at 330pm and fished the SJ side from BW all the way out to Antioch. We found fish at every stop. 20 fish to the boat, 20 more missed blowups, big fish went 8-12lbs. I had a shot at a legit 30lber, she missed the plug three times, then a smaller male stole the bait! BOOOOO!
Almost all our fish came on top water and a couple fell for an Orca stickbait. I'm really surprised how well the 5" DWB is performing this year. Definitely out fishing the 6" by 2:1.
There's a lot of muddy water out there. You just have to keep moving to find the clean water and the fish are there.
I'm only gonna get a couple short trips in before I leave for a week, heading to Mexico for tuna fishing. Bitter sweet since the striper bite is going WFO.
