Today while fishing on the river I was using my new reel which has a bait clicker. I missed several fish that seemed to drop my bait after I allowed them to run with the clicker on. I got to thinking that maybe the clicker sends a vibration back through the line causing them to drop the bait?

Just curious what you guys thought.

I try not to use a clicker as much as possible. I think with the very cold water conditions right now. Fish are just mouthing the bait softly. any tension what so ever they might spit the bait. Try thumbig your spool. When you get the slightest of bites give a little line. It might help.
