CLOSE PLACE TO DON PEDRO

COMING FROM DON PEDRO, WHICH IS A CLOSE PLACE TO LAUNCH AND FISH FOR STRIPERS. SON IS COMING FROM RENO OCT 1ST, AND WOULD LIKE TO COME DOWN AND FISH FOR SOME STRIPERS.

Best bet will be out of Russo's or Big Break. Closest from Don Pedro will be either Mossdale near the I-5/120 interchange which will give you limited options without a long run or Ladd's out of Stockton on Marhc Lane. Ladd's will put you 20 minutes or so from Franks Tract and 30+ from Big Break, Sherman Island, etc.
You can also run through Tracy and onto Byron Highway to launch out of Rivers End or Lazy M. This will give you access to the South Delta. It is tough to gauge whether there will be a big push of Stripers down that way or not come Oct.1, but I believe the Dam will be up on Old River. This can be great/easy fishing if they are there and you don't have too many boats locked in the area.
