fished some cuts in whiskey...flats on the middle river west of mildred and flats out on the san joaquin west of lost isle....we had 30 plus fish boil on our topwater baits.[..lps,spooks,woodchoppers,the ones] but no fish would commit....tried slower, faster,lots of in between...we got one 22 incher on a the one [chartuese,silver white belly] and two barely keeper spoon fish[duhspoons] and that was it...water 55-58 degrees....gin clear...saw a huge sealion throwing a 25-30 lb salmon around at whiskey slough - empire cut intersection....would have been a great day if 1/3 of the fish on our baits would have hammered them....i can usually find a way to get them to finish the job but not yesterday..good luck out there

thnx 4 the report ... i was out today for a bit and had pretty similar results as you... lots of swirls and only on the slowest possible retrieve with spooks n punkers ... small fish too, had a few followers of decent size on swimbaits but never ate ... took a look at the barometer when i got home and it was on the str8t decline
this weather this weekend is only gona F em up more IMO
