I mostly use Loomis and Powell rods for my bass applications on most lakes.. I have gotten into striper fishing on the feather and sacramento rivers. I like to fish with cut bait and drift minnows. I am looking for a good rod decently priced about $100-$150 max or cheaper! I will be using a shimano cardiff with the rod. Any help would be appreciated!!

I use several of my rods for multi purpose fishing. My Powell 711MH is used for cranking a punker and baitfishing. If I want to go with a shorter rod for baitfishing, I use my Powell 735MH.

I'm using giant grubs. The body is 3" long and the tail is 5" long, 8" total length. The body is black with red flake and the tail is white. I'm throwing them on 1/2 -3/4 oz heads with a 6/0 hook. Fishing from a boat, just cast to the bank and retrieve.

I'll give that a shot, I appreciate the information! Maybe I'll see you on the water. I'll look for the giant grubs.
