WILD WEST BASS TRAIL LAUNCHES KAYAK TOUR

Phoenix, AZ (September 1, 2019) – On Thursday morning of October 3rd, Wild West Bass Trail announced its launch into the Kayak Bass fishing segment to begin in early 2020. The WWBT Tour, Opens, and trails are geared towards professional and amateur anglers across the western United States. Since the inception of WWBT in 2016, WWBT has reached record numbers in team and professional Pro-AM events for four consecutive years. Leading industry companies such as, Lucas Oil Marine products, Super Clean, Ranger Boats, Lowrance Electronics, Power-Pole, and General Tire to name a few, have been long standing supporting partners of Wild West Bass Trail.

“The Kayak bass fishing opportunity has been on my radar for about three years now”, says Jeremy DeHart, owner and Operations Manager of Wild West Bass Trail. “Kayak bass fishing events are growing, and we want to be a part of this segment that is committed to those anglers. Today, I am happy to announce that Wild West Bass Trail will bring Kayak Bass fishing events to a different scale, with all the same benefits and opportunities our current events have, including contingency programs, tournament of champions, and televised championships. We are committed to building the Kayak bass fishing segment so much so, that we are also pleased to announce that Steve Melander will be the Tournament Director for this trail”. Steve Melander, aka Motherlode Kayak Angler, has been instrumental in developing a successful Kayak bass fishing trail that is primarily in the Motherlode region. The MKA events have illustrated and earned the loyalty of its anglers through a “come one, come all”, type of feel at their events.

Steve Melander, AKA Motherlode Kayak Angler states, “After two successful seasons with the MKA Motherlode Series Tour, I am excited to be joining the Wild West Bass Trail team as the Tournament Director for the 2020 WWBT Kayak Series. We built something great with limited resources for the MKA Motherlode Series, and now WWBT will carry that same torch to elevations only they can reach. Safety, sportsmanship, and camaraderie will remain the focus on some of the greatest bodies of water at the optimal times of the year. The anglers will be rewarded with great payouts, contingencies, and some other exciting opportunities that only the Wild West Bass Trail can offer, and on the biggest stage in west!”

Jeremy DeHart, notes, “It’s a great fit; MKA has clearly developed a great product for their customer base, and we are excited to take it to scale and to the next level. Our anglers are committed to us and now we have an additional trail that will provide a new flavor and feeder program for those who wish to compete in different events, or move up into a boating trail. The Kayak bass fishing trail will require a membership for entry into the events as well as online capability for sign-ups. WWBT will be extending its “priority entry” to all the current MKA kayak members first that meet a criteria of participation, as there will be a cap for all events.
