Central Valley Kayak Fishing 2020 Season

Central Valley Kayak Fishing (CVKF) is preparing to kick off the 2020 season on March 1st. on Lake Kaweah. The 2020 season will consist of 3 regular season events followed by a Tournament of Champions (TOC). Each event is limited to 50 anglers so you will want to sign up well in advance to make sure you secure a spot.
The format is a catch, picture and release (CPR) tournament where fished are measured on a Hawg Trough or Ketch Board (12” minimum). Each event will have a standard 4 fish limit and anglers will have the option to enter the Pro Pot for where they will be judged on a 5 fish limit.
The annual membership fee is $25 and covers the operational cost such as insurance and permit fees. Each tournament will have a $35 entry fee that includes Big Fish. The Pro Pot fee is an extra $10 per event. 100 percent of the entry fees will be paid back to the anglers throughout the season. 80 percent will be paid back at each event and 20 percent will go towards to the TOC payout.
In addition to the regular season events and the TOC, there will be an Angler of the Year (AOY) points race. All events will count towards the AOY with no throw away events. Damian Thao of Fresno, CA captured the 2019 AOY and is always a threat to win on any body of water in Central and Northern CA.

6/21/20 – Eastman Lake
8/2/20 – Pine Flat Reservoir (MLF Format)
9/13/20 – Santa Margarita Lake (AOY, TOC, BBQ)
