From The Depths (FTD) held their second event of the season on Folsom Lake on Saturday, 2/8/2020. They had a record setting field of 45 anglers eager to see what Folsom had to offer. They launched out of Granite Bay and headed in all directions to see who could bring in the longest 3 fish limit of the day. The weather was beautiful but the fishing turned out to be a little tougher than expected. The water temps were in the high 40s to low 50s and the fish seemed to have lockjaw for most anglers.

When the scores were tallied, only 12 anglers submitted a 3 fish limit with just over half the field (23) registering 1 or more fish. David Oien, a seasoned veteran on the Folsom, was able to figure them out and accumulated an impressive 53-inch limit to include an 18.5 inch smallie. It was Thao Vue who scored the big fish of the day, another tank smallie that measured in at 19 inches.

Here's your top ten:
David Oien – 53 inches
Tyler Koons – 51 inches
Thao Vue – 49.75 inches
Maximillian Krieg – 49.25 inches
Kong Her – 49 inches
Mike Navarra – 46.5 inches
Chris Hollingsworth – 45 inches
Jinno (Tony) Magno – 44 inches
Rob Knoles – 43.5 inches
Ivan Lee – 42.5 inches
Jiongbo Zhang – 42.25 inches
Tony Moore – 40.5 inches

From The Depths offers a welcoming atmosphere, a laid back feel, some great camaraderie and some friendly competition. They are limited to a 50 angler field so you will want to get registered as soon as possible to secure your spot. The next event will be Sunday, 3/15/2020 on Folsom Lake. Tim, Marvin and the gang put on a great show, give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.
