California Kayak Anglers ready for Bassmaster kayak Championship at Lake Tenkiller UPDATED

Here are the top 5 from California that will be competing this Wednesday and Thursday March 20-21. Left to right Anthony Garcia, Damian Thao, Sean Beach, James Croco and bottom Kong Yang. 164 anglers from all over the United State are going to compete in the biggest Kayak tournament of the year.

The 2024 Bassmaster Kayak Series Championship event is going to be held at Lake Tenkiller in Tahlequa Oklahoma on March 20th and 21st. The Bassmaster Kayak Series Championship will run in conjunction with the Bassmaster Classic held at Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees. The Kayak Series Championship anglers will weigh in on the same stage as the Elite anglers' stage. In California, there were only five anglers that qualified for the Bassmaster Kayak Series Championship, they are Anthony Garcia, James Croco, Kong Yang, Sean Beach and Damian Thao. During last year’s 2023 kayak championship, Damian Thao placed second on top of a 200-angler field at a lake he had never been to and only had practice for four consecutive days before the event.
This year, anglers are headed back East to Oklahoma sometime this week with a 24-hour drive ahead of them. After the tournament, the anglers have the opportunity to enjoy all the Bassmaster Classic stages and all the new products shown at the booths at the Bassmaster Classic Outdoors Expo.
