Top 35 team weights all would be leading after two days in US Open in September. 8)

Oh wait, they got that quirky 7-fish limit. No, those guys have no chance in September. :D

George there's nothing quirky about a 7 fish limit. It's "old school stuff"....it puts 2 guys back in the boat for team events like the old days. Teams were designed for 2 people. You can still fish by yourself but you'll only be weighing 5 fish to everyone else's 7 fish. This has proved to be very popular and successful for WWBT this year. It will be the same for 2017 also.

But to your point. Fishing was really good with lots of quality fish caught.

It's quirky because for decades we have made comparisons and established records based on a five fish bag. It's why they don't bring the fences in to 200 feet, expand the quarters in football to 20 minutes, or raise the hoop to 12 feet (or lower it to 9 feet) in basketball. We have standards. So yeah, it's kind of quirky. But then, it's fishing.
