BREAKING NEWS!! Castaic Bass Club is inviting Non-Member Teams to come fish with us for our July 14th Friday Night Club Tourney at Lake Piru. Very limited slots are open for 2 person teams – first come first serve. Fishing hours are from 7 p.m. – 1 a.m. Friday July 14th. Cost is $30 per Boat/Team (CBC dues and lake/night use permit); Options for Tourney (100% payback) is $20 Top 3 Finishers, and $10 Biggest Bass (winner takes all). All in is $60 per Team (does not include Lake Entry Fees).
If you’re interested, it’s first come first serve. We are limiting the field to club level numbers so as not to reduce the feel of an exclusive club, fun tourney. Confirmed CBC entries are around 8 boats, we are looking at accepting an additional 8 entries. Please text Orin T at 818.621.3516 or email orinjay@icloud.com to RSVP – you will be sent entry form, liability waiver, and further information to reserve your spot.

UPDATE: We only have 4 spots open...first 4 to respond by contacting Orin will get the spots. We might consider taking more and will generate a waiting list if needed.

Thanks

Just an update for our Piru Night event on Friday... We have 13 confirmed Teams.
We still have a few spots remaining if you know anyone that wants to fish. I have 2 non-boaters on a waiting list, which may get placed at our Thursday Meeting. All Non-Members, Boater or Non, are welcome to join us at our monthly meeting this Thursday July 13th, Vincenzos Pizza, Newhall at 7 p.m.
Otherwise be sure to check in at Lake Piru on Friday July 14th; starting at 5 p.m. club members will be there to give you your boat launch number (random draw at Thursday's meeting), glow sticks, and finalize any payments and forms that are due.
There is a pre-inspection at the entry Kiosk. Mainly to record your boat information and disclose that you must stop for an exit inspection after fishing; they don't board the boat or due a clean and dry review. Also there is a 10 day quarantine prior to launching at other lakes after fishing Piru.
Tournament meeting will be held at roughly 6 p.m. Fishing hours are 7 p.m. - 1 a.m. Water level is same as when the club fished there in January... Lots of schooling baitfish in the water... visibility is about 4 - 10 feet (depending on area) with temp at 78 degrees... Good luck everyone! See you on Thursday at Vincenzos or at the Lake on Friday Evening! Orin T. 818.621.3516.
