Wild West Bass Trail AZ Team anglers,
Saturday will mark the first event of the WWBT AZ Teams 2018 season. We will be at Lake Havasu launching out of Lake Havasu Marina. This post will constitute as your pre-tournament meeting. Any questions can be referred to myself thru Facebook, text or by calling me at 928-279-8493.

There will be pre-registration Friday evening from 4-6pm and Saturday morning starting at 4am. Pre-registration will take place at the WWBT trailer on the top parking lot as you enter Lake Havasu Marina. This will also be the weigh-in location. All anglers must check in and sign a release waiver prior to fishing the tournament. This can be done at either pre-registration times.

After the Friday pre-registration all entries at that time will be assigned a random boat number. The flight times and boat numbers will be posted on WWBT’s Facebook page Friday evening. They will also be at the trailer during Saturday morning registration. All entries on Saturday morning will be given the next number in line.

Below is a short rules briefing.

* 7 fish limit for a team and 5 fish limit if your fishing solo

* 13” minimum with mouth open and tail pinched or swished

* Off limits - Lake Havasu Marina, 50’ from an operating gas dock and anything legally marked

* Nets are allowed

* You may not leave your boat to gain access to a fishing area

* Life jackets and kill switches must be worn at all times when the engine is operating

We will be doing boat check on the water. As you single file pass the WWBT boat, please have live wells open and running. At this point you will be given a numbered buoy matching your boat number. Once you receive the buoy you are free to idle out and go fishing. Important: You must have your buoy prior to leaving the launch site.
If you are not on the water or not ready when your number is called you will be moved to the back of the line but will maintain your flight position and check in time.

At the end of your fishing day you will need to calculate enough time to cross the no wake areas entering Thompson Bay or exiting the channel as the check in point will be on the dock from where you were launched to begin the day. Important: This is where you need to be prior to you check in time. When you check in we will need your buoy back. This will allow us to account for all anglers.

We will launch boat #1 at 7:15am, have twenty boat flights and the first flight check in will be at 3:15pm. There after each flight will be due in every fifteen minutes.

In closing, please go onto the WWBT website and review the rules. Make sure you select the team rules as there are some differences between them and the Pro/Am rules. My staff and I are looking forward to the 2018 season and seeing everyone out there. This will be a short but very exciting season capped off with the Championship on Roosevelt where one team will take home a brand new Ranger bass boat.

If you have any questions, please contact me!

Thanks,
Shane Moline
