BETHEL ISLAND CA. – This year's Ultimate Frog Challenge (aka UFC8), was truly an event that raised the bar, and far exceeded the expectations of even the Angler's Press Outdoors organization and its many partnering sponsors.

Nearly 200 teams (400 anglers) converged on California Delta - at Russo's Marina, to test their skills in this "Top-water Frogs Only" extravaganza, and though a stiff wind blew occasionally, many teams were able to "embrace the grind" and find quality fish, using a wide variety of top-water frog brands.

They expressed to the large crowd present at the awards ceremony, that they covered a lot of water, and with windy conditions in effect, were required to focus on precise bait placement to catch the bigger fish. For their efforts and victory, they garnered $6,300 in cash, two custom frog trophies, and a coveted place on Gone Fishin' Marine's UFC Hall Fame plaque prominently located on the wall of their Dixon California store.
