Casitas help

Whats the trick to getting these bass to eat at Casitas? I've just about thrown the kitchen sink at them and still no bites. Marking alot of fish out deep (50 -100) on the shad.

Tried the A-Rig, Ice Jig, Hopkins Spoons, Kastmasters, Drop shot robos, Silver Buddy, Hudds, DD22, tail spin. Haven't tried a jig yet though. Or should I leave these deep fish alone and start pounding the bank shallower?

I'm not a tourney guy, just fishin for fun.

You can see my spoon in their face in a couple of the pics.

Welcome to Casitas cold water period. Deep bait doesn't always mean the deep bait has active feeding bass, those marks could be carp, catfish, trout, they are all suspended and may be inactive.
The bass should be starting to transition upwards for early pre spawn, so target areas like major points on steep walls near the entry zones where the bass tend to stage then spawn. Think uphill!

PS,2 Jan tourneys and 1/2 the field blanked in both!

Funny that's what I sent in a PM. to the gent. Best to go out with a five strike attitude. With the best fish being on the bank.

You might try hiring a guide, I hear Rich Tarbour is pretty on top of things out there.
