What's your preference for a crank bait rod? Length, weight, and brand?

Dobyns has 18 different CB models from 6'3" to 8'. We have these in graphite and also glass. Many different power ratings as well. If cranking, most times I'll go longer rod. If throwing a jerkbait, I'll use a 7' footer. If you can help with baits selection, I can help dial you right in. THX!!!!

Gary,
Thanks. I am new to bass fishing and have been going out a few times in the last month. I have been using a LV 500 lipless lure.

You can't go wrong with a Dobyns. Best part is they offer them in all price points. I recently picked up a couple Fury 705cb's....GREAT rods, not just for the price, I am talking great rods in general.

Bob,
Most people throw an LV on a 705 CB or a 764 CB. As Lugnut stated we have different price points ( Thanks Lugnut)
I personally like a bit more power for an LV because you may be ripping it through grass or pumping if of the bottom. If I'm dealing with grass, I like a 734C and if no grass a 733C. These are what I've always thrown.
Now we have the new 735 CB Glass rod. Even though I haven't fished an LV on it yet, It's probably going to become my favorite. You can't really go wrong with any of these listed.
Are you fishing the Cal Delta with Grass? What size line? Do you need the extra feel of graphite? Do you want it more versatile for other baits besides LV?
We have a problem of making too many really good models.

Guys
thanks for the info. I really appreciate the advise. It will definitely be a Dobyns rod. I am going to see how all those different rods feel.

check out 13 Fishing Omen Black Crank Bait Rods. I fished it a few weeks ago and it was awesome and priced right. I ordered one and hope to get it tomorrow. 13 Fishing is also coming out with a new line of rods like the Defy Black price crazy low. They come out in a few weeks 59.99 per rod. Mind blowing! lol Good luck

I've been using the Daiwa zillion CB rod which is 7'and medium action and it's the best CB rod I've used to date. Super sensitive, you can feel the bottom unbelievably and as soon as you get that strike it's unmistakable.
