How about a contest for one of those Powell Rods?

We haven't had a contest for a while so it's about time we did.

Guess the winning weight at the the next NBW Castaic tournament on Jan 14 and win a Powell Rod.

The rules are simple:
One guess only
Closest weight with out going over
Southern California and SCBF only
(I'll do one for the NCBF later)
Southern California means Santa Maria South.
Entries must be in by midnight Friday Jan 13th

Any questions before we start?

14.85 lbs*NM*

with any luck I'm going home in a couple of years which most people know is Paso Robles (central cal). Most of my years fishing has been from Cachuma north to Clear Lake. The Northern board will get their own contest.

I have caught some very nice fish in SoCal and I like these lakes down here. They have some of the biggest fish in the country. I have caught several fish over 10# in these lakes and countless over 5#. After being here as long as I have been you can't help but like what Southern California has to offer. Every type of entertainment you can ask for including the freeway drivers and that can be very entertaining! I have made some excellent friends since I've been here.

Central Cal and NorCal offer different types of lakes. I have fished lakes like Clear Lake, Don Pedro, McClure, Comanche, Melones, Millerton, SUCKsess (just kidding Porterville) just to name a few and my absolute favorites Nacimiento, Lopez and Santa Margarita. I've talked to people that have never heard of Santa Margarita and if you want to learn how to fish a spinnerbait go there. One of the best blades lakes there is. I love these lakes and the type of fishing they offer. It's just different.

I think Pete is right. If the last name starts with M ends with O you win. Duplicate prizes for ties.

Terry Mforemano (the M and O are silent)

I guess 18.00 lbs.
